On Tuesday 27th August, the farmer whose field adjoins the bottom of our garden in Bridge of Earn, Perthshire in Scotland, decided it was time to harvest the wheat.

  • Havest seams to start late up there, down here in the south east they start late july? thanks for posting good vid

  • Thanks for looking at the video clip. I think the wet weather in August has made the harvest even earlier this year as we do not usually see the wheat being cut until September. Daylight is very different up here and in Summer we can have daylight until 11.30.

  • Glad you finshed well done. Yes its wet down here, going today though, bloody soft though have to keep an eye out for the wet holes, most around here are hoping to finshed wheat tommrow if its not raining, then on to beans. Thanks

  • We may start late but we finished yesterday, whats it like down sooouth. Wet?
