  • The first recording of the Basie band. Great stuff.

  • Esta música é eterna, privilegiados os que se dispuserem a ouvi-la. Nossos netos, bisnetos poderão disfrutar dela. Graças a Deus.

  • @chas63 Hi! is there any chance to send me that transcription by email? Thanks in advance!

  • For some reason I don't like the sound of Basie's playing in this recording. He stresses the high notes too much for it to be Basie. Just my opinion.

  • Young sounds like a hot player- in contrast to his later cool persona

  • utterly classic jazz

  • Ah the Kc stomp sound... Me like!

  • One of my favorite Lester Young solos. I have the transcription, but it's a tough one to play.

  • thx bro
