@Liamautomechanic hi. I've got ok mechanical knowledge, worked around machinery and farm vehicles for years.
How hard is the HG to replace?
Could i attempt it myself? Ive watched lots of great videos including yours and it look pretty straigh forward apart from taking the head to be skimmed if its warped?

yes it was a lovely car to drive sat on the road really well just seemed a shame that they never put a good head gasket on it to start with, so may of them around here parked up in scrapyards all head Gaskits.

@Cattachmore22 too bad grand wee motor.all the same. i fixed a fair few with the modified gaskit. seems to have cured the problem.

There you go I was always told that the only way the Head Gasket could be done on this and the Rover 25 was a engine out job because of the bolts going all the way down, I seen a perfectly good car scraped because of that, now I know different thanks for showing that it can be done with care, and by a guy that knows what he is doing.
