  • @mattacer25 Except for me...

  • Luke 4:12

English Standard Version (ESV) 12 And Jesus answered him, “It is said, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

haha but seriously nothin wrong with this video minus the prayer thing but you know, besides that, nothin disagreeable

  • @ShaundalynChic Fine then. Do you drive a car to get to your library? If not, do you ride a bike? If not, do you walk? If you walk, do you wear shoes? No matter which way you spin it, your life, needs money to function. Thus, you /still/ are dismissing the word of god.

  • @TheActualClarkKent How about you answer my other questions before you bring new ones to the discussion board?

  • @Athexistentialist Define "moral faults"

  • @Athexistentialist Not my money. Given the temple hadn't been destroyed in his lifetime, I doubt our cruddy public library is anything in comparison to that.

  • @TheActualClarkKent "only god could make this claim" huh?

    There's two scenarios here:

A: Jesus was lying then. He just wanted to get the people to follow him, so he lied about having power of god.

B: Jesus and god are a part of the trinity, so he can make the claim.

Whoa! I argued two different ways in response.

Just goes to show how flimsy the Bible is. Just pick one side of a contradiction and run with it. Then you can prove anything you fancy.

  • @TheActualClarkKent So Jesus was being smart then. Manipulative, sure, but smart. The "poor" or the "poor in spirit" are, of course, the group he's going to go after. Who else would have as much to invest in religion/god/heaven than the "poor"/"poor of spirit"? That's right. No one would. He was a smart guy, though, that's for sure. Knew the downtrodden wouldn't be able to resist the concept of eternal love. So, Jesus used their moral faults to advance his own agenda.

    How's that for ya?

  • @TheActualClarkKent Brah, it's a silent X. All the cool names have them.

    So totally on purpose.
