The Kyosho Caliber 120. The 120 is slightly smaller than the Walkera 4-3 A/B. The Caliber 120 has a semi-auto stabilizing rotor head with a 45 degree flybar similar to the Nine Eagles Kestral SX. The 120 is full function 4 channel rc helicopter with a built in gyro. Its alot harder to fly than the 4-3 due to the rotor head over compensating when trying to do some mild flying. The helicopter sometimes will want to swing back and forth and side to side trying to counteract your movements. A little cyclic corrects the swinging motion, but at times it can over power the tail rotor and cyclic sending the 120 out of control. Therefore the 120 requires very minute sutble control inputs on throttle, and cyclic.

The TX makes it that much harder to fly because of the spring loaded throttle stick, and overly sensative controls.

As I fly the Caliber 120 more I am getting used to its flying style. I am really starting to like this heli alot!

  • is it worth the money? and great video

  • @SVenables97 Thanks! Its not worth the money.

There are currently a lot of sub micro heli's out now that perform a 100 times better than the Kyosho 120. You should look into a Blade MSR, Walkera CB100, Align Trex 100, or the Nine Eagle Solo Pro. Even the new 4 channel Air Hogs Helix 360 performs better than the Kyosho Caliber 120.

  • What do you think about this heli compared to the 4#3b?

  • Both heli's are night and day different, I really like them both, but give the edge to the Walkera 4-3B due to price, nicer TX, and of course the nice cnc parts. The Caliber 120 is aot more sensative on the controls, which makes it a little more challenging to fly. Both heli's can hover very stable.

  • You can find these cheaper now. They are touchy I do believe because I'm having problems just getting it out of the ground effect, but I suck as a pilot so it's probably just me! It needs trimming I'm sure and the best directions I've found here on YouTube is in Japanese.
