  • The IIHS has been sued by several groups for being biased. They're an institution of insurance companies. AKA - its a business

They have it in for the Panther platform for some reason. All of the cars really are different and the Lincoln does get different crash ratings, but this IIHS paid punk here will just keep repeating the opposite like a broken record.

    Research for yourselves.

The Panther is the safest platform in America.

  • @counkev well having owned a Town Car, Crown Vctoria, and Grand Marquis, it is because they are essentially the same car, just the crown vic is mostly made for performance and the town car is made mostly for comfort. so the town car is almost as good as accelerating and taking corners as the crown vic but its much more comfortable and vice versa. The Grand Marquis is designed to be a middle ground between the two cars its more comfortable than a crown vic and has better performance as a Town Car.

  • @CJ5Beast81 ur smart :)

  • SO why do they make the same car but just put different badges ?

  • Crown Victoria = Lincoln Town Car? Yes?

What about Transit Connect = Focus?

Comparing the Transit Connect to the Focus, they have the same platform, same drivetrain, somewhat different dimensions, different suspension, different body design- basically the same criteria differences as the Town Car and the Crown Victoria.

  • @yepdcxrox yup and with the grand marque

  • well, i had a 96 crown vic, and hydroplaened, hit a wall, flipped over, grabbed my cell phone and walked to the side of the road, so i would say there built pretty god damn well lls

  • @T5driver Ok, slightly different body panels doesn't make it a different car. But the fact that is shares the same frame, engine and drivetrain ARE what make it the same car.

  • @ajp9478 Town Car is still Panther platform and all Panthers are built at the St. Thomas Assembly Plant in Ontario.
