james was talking about songs relating to london... and i texted him saying that Im Gonna Get Lit Up When The Lights Go Up In London was the best song about London, and if he couldn't find the original version, I'd happily sing it for him...

so, he rang me up, and i sang it

and a couple of days later one of the dads from Hugh's school saw me at the gate, said he had heard it and did I have bluetooth - he recorded it on his phone and sent it to me...

so here it is - sorry about the sound quality - its recorded on a phone after all!!

Awww, yeah. Great tune. I'm in a band that plays regularly in London, and every time we get down there I start us off singing this. I seriously upset a London cabbie (he even refused a tip - we felt so bad we offered twenty quid) but man, it was a marvellous song. Look up dear old Carol Gibbons as the originator.
