My town and all of the surrounding towns have BANNED the sale AND firing of fireworks!
I had to drive about 15 miles just to buy fire works, Then drive another 15 miles the other direction to a friends place just to celebrate the 4th.
There are just to many wimpy limp wristed people think'in kids will all die grisly deaths if a fire cracker explodes!
And don't get me started on enviro-mental-ists either!

The news crews had the same type of footage when Sadam was ousted .... that said, the explosions were a 'little' lower to the ground than these ones!! (lol)

Hey Bob and Bob-o-wife....That ball of light looks like a garbage bag balloon....Easy enough to make..Need a large garbage bag..A firelighter...Some thin wire or similar to hold the mouth of the bag open..Then you use some wire strung from one side of the bag mouth to the other to act a a support for the firelighter....
Light it up and let it go..Not such a good idea if it is dry and woody though.. :)
