Below are TWO recipes, the one in the video using the mix and one "from scratch" that you may want to try instead.

Using the packaged cookie mix:

1 pouch (17.5 oz) or 500g package of sugar cookie mix
1/2 cup butter softened
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
6-8 drops green food colour
1 egg
1 1/2 to 2 cups mint flavoured chocolate chips (or a combination of regular and mint chocolate chips)

Combine the cookie mix, egg, butter, food colour and peppermint extract in a large bowl, stir until you get a smooth dough, add the chocolate chips and stir until combined.
Place cookie dough on an ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart and bake at 350 F for 8-10 minutes or until bottoms are light brown. Cool on cookies sheet for 2-3 minutes and then move to wire racks to cool completely.

From "scratch" recipe:

2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter softened (unsalted), if you use salted omit salt with the flour
1 cup sugar
1 large eggs
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
6-8 drops green food colour

1. stir together flour, baking powder and salt together, set aside
2. Cream together sugar and butter, add eggs, peppermint extract, food colour and mix until fluffy.
Gradually add flour mixture a little at a time. Mix until you get a smooth dough.
Add in 1 to 1 1/2 cups of mint chocolate chips or combination regular and mint chocolate chips and stir.
3. Heat oven to 350F and drop cookie dough onto a greased or parchment (or silicone mat) lined cookie sheet by heaping teaspoon fulls about 2 inches apart and bake 10-12 minutes until bottoms are light brown.
Let cool on cookie sheet for 2-3 minutes and then move to wire racks to cool completely.

  • Is it crunchy or soft?

  • @loveowodog mostly crunchy

  • @74tannya It Was Probably's Her Son's YouTube Account Before, Can't You Tell By The Number 12 (Her Son's Age) And Max (Her Sons Name) And Yoyo (What Does Like) LOL I'm 10 And I Figured This Out! Not Tyring To Be Mean Though! 😊

  • @EpicForeva123 The only part you got right was the Max. Yoyo is my Mom's nickname and 12 is a lucky number for me. Made this account in 2006

  • Can I use margarine instead of butter? Don't have any butter around, I just ran out and don't feel like buying more just for this recipe, but I will if I have to because these sound sooo good. :)

  • @CosmeticHappy I don't like the taste of margarine in cookies, but you can use it instead of butter as long as it isn't the low fat kind. The cookies may spread more and make take less time to bake, keep an eye on them
