Say whatever you want about Brendan and his (plentiful) issues, but I do think that this is quite a refreshing take on the difficulties of coming out. I perfectly buy how tricky it must be - especially for someone like Brendan with all his machismo and twisted religious/cultural ideas - to come out to one's kids. He is a psycho, obviously, but from a point of view of portrayals of homosexuality on telly, I think this is one of few that actually, genuinly interests me for the sake of it.

I dunno - Rae just seems fake I guess..maybe it's the actress that plays her because I like Amy's character a lot when she stands up for Ste and gets in B's face. But whenever I see Rae, ugh, she's annoying but I always root for Amy. lol

This is absurdly surreal.... I guy that has always done everything to cover up, that has a mental breakdown and let even a guy that he REALLY likes (maybe loves) go away in order to keep it a secret... then, just admit it...! As if it would ever be like that... Not now not ever! It is to play with our minds to think people would think this believable...
