I have to agree. Non-American characters don't get used often enough, and too often they're more about stereotypes then bothering to make real personalities off of them.
Captain Britain and the MI6 was probably the best superhero comic not featuring American heroes (British heroes in the UK with a British writer doing the comic, so it works).
Even if this is just a parody of superheroes, I have to say, it's about bloody-damn-time the French got a decent national superhero to call their own, what with the likes of Captain America and Union Jack running around in the "real" superhero stories and the likes of the Minuteman making the presense felt in Freedom Force...
