@SuperYoshi1141 Quite right, but to be fair, I'm glad it came to be as it was, otherwise we may not have ended up with Cecil, Rosa, Kain and the rest.

Exactly. FFIV was originally intended to be on the NES with those characters, but was ported to the SNES due to time constraints, which allowed them to go into further detail with the characters ans create Cecil, Rosa, etc.

@mangafreak29 Wasn't the original of the game in a similar style to all the ones before it? They've remade it loads of times, but the characters looked like that at the time of the release. Just like FF1, 2 and 3 before that, the characters in the first versions of the games were signified by job classes instead of Cecil, Kain, Rosa, etc.
