The British were pleasantly surprised at easily they were able to rout the Italian army in North Africa. That is... until Rommel's Africa Korp showed up.

Exquisite speech. Mussolini was a wise man. Remembers me the Fuhrer.

@freakfurt Tell it to the people of Abyssinia whom he slaughtered to satisfy his pathetic megalomaniacal ambition to become a second Julius Caesar. Contrary to popular myth, he didn't even manage to get the trains to run on time.

@lendljr Even in Britain Timberland boots (and all good quality boots) are over £100/$160!!!
If you have CDs at $7, we have them at £7!! The Jews who run the USA are responisible.
America rules the world, but Jews rule America!

yes, i just returned from Italy on December 28. I had about 1200 dollars i wanted to spend there but everytime i went out to buy anything , everything was closed and things were so overpriced. In the u.s.a , you can get a pair of timberland boots for about 25 dollars (19 euros). In italy, they were between 180-200 euros...No wonder why italian are forced to steal. Italy should hire Donald Trump to run the economy. just my opininon. all my family lives in italy.

@lendljr I'am Italian...live in Italy...and you have written only the truth!

Italy needs another mussolini. The stores there are constantly closed and i had to go to 8 banks before i could find someone competent enough to exchange my dollars into euros. They wonder why their economy is suffering? Italians are lazy. If you tried to build a house there you would die before it would be finished. "Cornutto!"

@ComicBookChick1 If anything thats a testiment to the Fuhrer, he came from nothing and was treated as a demi-god. Austria wasn't part of the German Reich because of politics, that's all, the Habsburgs were on the throne and wanted to keep their weak empire. The Austrian people knew they were German and longed for the Anschluss.
Mussolini was a noble statesman and a exceptional leader of the Italian people. His greatest mistake, however; was his ego. The Duce thought he could match his nation's strength to that of German Reich and fight France and Great Britain when it was the apparent truth that the Italian lands had not been ready for war since the day's of Rome.

The only problem with Mussolini was that he was delusional and overestimated his own forces. If Italy never went to war, I think he could have been a great statesman
