@Wilthomer66 Hmmmmmmmmmm do you realize that the Eire apparent version was produced by non other thanJimi Hendrix? True the singing of this version is better to many folks but as a guitar player the guitar solo on the Eire Apparent's version blows me away. I love this version but I think that it may sound a trifle sanitized.
The greatest song i have ever heard partly because i collect fireworks memorabilia but mainly for the song itself. I can't live without this record i have the E.P. too.
I WORSHIP THIS AT IT'S ALTAR. This is my ultimate trip totally locked on to this.psychedelatrip i owe you :))))))))))))) otherworldly i can taste the gunpowder in the air ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I remember this song when it was on Sydney radio 2sm a million years ago. I'm sure John Robinson (that legendary Oz guitarist that never got his dues) was playing guitar on this. The year must have been very late 60s. Anyone know for sure?
This is excellent. You can hear how this band was an influence on The Church. Steve Kilbey (lead singer for said group) sang a bit of this song during his acceptance speech while The Church was being inducted into the Australian Music Hall of Fame last week. He was lamenting that there is so much great Australian music that the rest of the world (i.e. Britain and America) doesn't know about.

I've long held that this version kicks the crap out of the Eire Apparent original!
