  • Too racy indeed. This dance was actually edited out of the film (banned) in many cities like Boston, Baltimore etc. How times have changed!

  • I remember reading that John Wayne was asked why he agreed to play Genghis Khan, his reply was "I was drunk at the time"

  • @stayjit1 As I recall, he also tippled a bit while filming "The Conqueror". Could you blame him?

  • this dancer is excellent and her costume is kind of daring for the fifties though the movie was

    really silly due to John Wayne's acting fortunately Susan Hayward and Agnes Moorehead gave

    this movie a bit of class!!!
