Better if you knew how to skate. Glidecam + running is pointless for a day's worth of shooting, unless you're an olympian.
I am impressed that the wind didn't topple it over, what camera were you running? My HMC40 + Glidecam2000 is easily effected by wind sometimes, due to it not being heavy enough to resist against it.
