Dan Cruickshank explains what happened after the fire of 1834 destroyed the Palace of Westminster, also known as the Houses of Parliament. What we see today is designed by Charles Barry and Augustus Pugin. Dan tours the Lords' side and Royal rooms in this, the first part of five.

@laserbeam - how moronic. Any ass knows that liars can figure and fgures can lie. I know a lot of people, and even I, far removed from a statistician as one can be, can likely find a better set of numbers from a survey to crunch.Texas was a part of the Confederacy, m'lord. @njdevil281 If you know your history fine but please explain the recent studies to come out. last year a study 1500 college students were ask who was president during the civil war and 53% said George Washington. And this year high school students on the east coast were ask to name the 13 states that made up the confederate state and all 1200 included either texas, california or new mexico.
