I don't think he is Christ yet but I do think he has good intentions just possibly mislead by spirits that do not have good intentions. I love him though because he is my brother. Jesus says to love others as he loves us and to forgive as he forgives so pray that he is on the right path. Pray for the truth and be loving and forgiving Christians. As far as it being chilling I don't find him chilling or his opinions chilling.

As long as there are people who believe things on the basis of mystery, tradition, insecurity, complexity, EMOTION, uncertainty, etc. these schmucks will be able to find followers. The only difference between him and mainstream Christianity is that mainstream Christianity only takes 10%. You should always be suspicious of someone who tries to eliminate your brain. It's rather important. It allows us to reason. I don't suppose he wants that.
