Biography
Brown Bear & The Bandits are a three piece from Largs in Scotland. Combining folk guitar, celtic airs and pop hooks with meaningful lyrics, they creates a unique "must hear' sound. Originally playing under singer Matt Hickman as a solo artist with a backing band,they combined forces and are quickly picking up a reputation as a Live Act, wowing crowds with their unique ways of creating sound from guitar using abstract tunings, cajon box and more than anything putting on an energetic show! Their debut album "Truth or Dare" is set to be released at the end of 2011.

Oxjam is a charity music festival that raises money for Oxfam - whose mission is to fight poverty worldwide.


Oxjam have teamed up with Harleys & Fury Murry's in Ayr to bring you an exciting weekend of live music.

Thursday 7th July - Silent Disco Opening Party - Fury Murry's, 11pm - 3am.

Friday 8th July - From 5pm our 'NME Stage' will take over Harley's.

Saturday 9th July - Our 'Harley's Introducing Stage' will provide you with some very talented acoustic acts on Saturday afternoon, before our 'Main Stage' takes over in the evening.

Sunday 10th July - The main day of our festival will feature a range of different bands on our 'King Tuts Stage', followed by a special Closing Party in Fury Murry's.

We will have a tasty Oxjam cocktail on offer all weekend, and the barbeque will be fired up to ensure all you good people are fed and watered :-)

Our raffle will take place on the final day of the festival and we have some amazing prizes for you to win including, gig tickets & signed merchandise.

All proceeds go directly to Oxfam so please come along and show your support.
