Halo Suite (Part 2 of 3)

Thank you for checking out my fan-compilation of Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori's musical works of the Halo Series. I may not be the biggest die-hard fan of Halo, but the music of Halo is another story. Halo's music is without a doubt some of the best game soundtrack I have ever heard. And with Martin and Michael out of the picture now, and Halo 4 on the way, I decided that it's time I finally made this public.

Originally, this compilation was only supposed to be ten to fifteen minutes long, but it ended up becoming way onger. Almost 40 minutes long (ridiculous I know, but to be honest, I think it turned out pretty good. There are a few tracks I wish I could have managed to find a place for, but to be honest, I don't think they really could fit. Such tracks included Reclaimer, No More Dead Heroes, One Final Effort, Gravemind, and believe it or not, Finish the Fight. I know FTF is more than worthy to be considered one of the best Halo pieces of all time, but to be honest, A). I didn't want to reuse the same melody of the Halo Theme again, and B). I don't think adding it would have made this compilation any better. It would have most likely ended the piece, and I experimented putting it at the end, but I prefer the ending as it was.

The works in this compilation are strictly those of Martin and Michael. So Halo Wars did not make the cut at all in this compilation. Another reason I didn't include Halo Wars, was the music didn't fit the whole mood set for the piece. Most music is from Halo 3 and beyond, though I managed to fit in at least one piece form each game, and even one piece from Halo Legends.

I would appreciate any feedback on this very long compilation of some of the best work from Halo's music. If you want a copy of the whole thing for yourself, there is a download from mediafire, keep in mind however, that it is in m4a format, so you may need to convert it. I didn't put together a slideshow really, I just picked 4 cool drawings from deviant art, for the first two parts, and for the third part, I used a drawing I made a few weeks back (which really isn't all that spectacular, but fits the last part well).
