Live from Club 100 friday 16/1-09:
Stan Webb has steered Chicken Shack through almost 40 years of rock history, being cited as a particular favourite and/or influence on the likes of Eric Clapton, John Mayall and Jon Spencer. Rip roaring rock blues from Clarke, who commutes between the West Coast of USA and UK.
Lead guitarist with Killing Floor, Salt and Daddy Longlegs, Mick is a fiery player who eschews effects and plays "straight from the wood".
Club 100:
The most celebrated live music venue in Europe and one of the most famous in the world.
Our longevity is due to an open minded music policy which has seen many different musical styles performed at this venue over It's long history.
The Clubs heritage is legendary and has seen performances from acts as diverse as The Sex Pistols, Muddy Waters, Hugh Masekela, Lee Konitz, Oasis, Lonnie Donnegan, Jimmy McGriff and Travis to The Clash,The White Stripes, Yank Lawson, Sinead O'Conner, Nico, Chris Barber and Beverly Knight, to name but a few.
Artists like The Rolling Stones, Joe Strummer, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Paul Weller, Ocean Colour Scene, The Handsome Family and Squarepusher have performed here long after becoming established.
Loved Chicken Shack from way back, opened for Canned Heat in '75 - hot friggin show!
