I stepped outside around 3pm and looked up to see what I thought at first was a balloon, but I grabbed my camera to get a closer look. Now I'm pretty convinced it's another Orb scanning the area or whatever it's doing. It disappeared over the house, so I went to the front of the house but could not see it again. Then I noticed this very bright shining object moving pretty fast over the Oakland hills. I know many people will say the supposed Orb is just a balloon
ya i was going to say, usually they don't have sometihng that looks like a string... but it's really hard to say because it looks a LOT like a plasma orb

I know that was a mistake. I appreciate your observations and your comments here. The fact that you noticed that the string was moving around in a straight line is key. Thanks for comments.

I wasn't the fellow claiming it was a balloon.

If you look at my other videos of this object you will see the same thing, what you call the string and tag. If this is truly a balloon with a long sting and tag on it, then someone must be playing a joke right? And if they could get it to behave the same each time then surely it is reproducible. Maybe you should try to reproduce this with a balloon and string and film it and post it as video response. Then we can all agree that its just a balloon.

Also if the wind is blowing the "string" "tag" around in a circle, why does the balloon stay in the exact same position for 15-20 minutes before leaving the area? I know you can't see this on the video, but I watched it for at 10-15 min. before I went inside and got my camera.

it hovers for 15-20 min. without moving position. I recorded a balloon flying by at the end of this video. The balloon was within eyesight for a only a couple of minutes at most. Trust me if you saw this in person, hovering completely still, although the wind is blowing, you wouldn't think its a balloon. But again, the video does not give this impression. Plus I get an intuition when it appears that this is not something that is commonly known or understood. Maybe its secret gov tech???

What is intriguing is the sporadic flashing of light. If it is a mylar balloon then the reflecting light doesn't seem practical. I am continually finding myself in a state of indecision with regards to ufo clips. I find myself thinking that if they are real then they are mimicking something that can be rationally explained. I also tend to believe that if they are real they are unable to make physical contact due to the paradox of the time space continuum.

Ummm, nothings ever looked more like a balloon...except of course a balloon! lol

I suggest you watch the actual balloon at the end of the video again and pay attention to that string. It's not staying straight. Besides, that "tag" of yours is strangely keeping very well ahead of the "balloon" as if it was the bouyant body instead. How curious that it's able to miraculously move back and forth on its own. When I watch actual balloons in the air, they're the object that's usually being buffeted around and dragging everything else with them, not the other way around.

the tag will fly at the same speed as the streamer. The tag can't fly slower or faster than the streamer/balloon because they're the same, the whole will fly as fast as the heaviest component. If it wasn't the case all aircraft would have infinite speed capabilities, because they wouldn't be burdened with drag and their own mass. You don't have to take my word for it, look it up. But trust me, it is a balloon!

Which specific amongst the 'lots of reasons' do you mean? A free floating body (in this case a balloon) that is bouyed by the thermal activity and wind speed will fly. Any additional ballast attached (in this case a string and tag) will also float at the same rate of motion. IF the balloon was tethered at the top, yes, I agree, the string/tag would blow in the same way a flag does, BECAUSE it's tethered.. Try it with tissue paper, hold a streamer of tissue with a tag on the end. cont....

Um. Motion. Wind. The mere fact that strings are not hard, rigid objects. There's a lot of reasons why a balloon string cannot stay straight. Furthermore, unless this tag is magically capable of moving on its own despite acting as a "weight," I cannot see it making the perfect degree turns it does. Sometimes it's right up beside the object in a perfect leveling line. It does not look natural in the least bit.

Why would a string flop around? The tag is forming the weight to keep it taught..When a balloon is in a slow (or fast) moving airstream the whole lot moves at the same speed, so it won't flop around.. why should it? I fly gliders, i know a little about aerodynamics! Trust me. But if you wish to believe it's a UFO go ahead... Lucky guy! four times in three months!

The thumping bass makes me believe it more and more

Strings flop around, like the balloon shown at the end. This "string" of yours stays perfectly straight and marks perfect shifts in degree when the object turns. That's not a string.

Laser? Oh please! It's a balloon with the tag still attached. Someone around Oakland is playing you very well, you've managed to get the same thing twice in June and again in July and May...Don't you think that's just a little lucky and coincidental?
daddyofjames 2 years ago
That be no string. That be a laser. Strings don't stay straight in wind.

Whoo... now that thing's awesome.

roger that my friend, Ive been trying to but when they up close they always surprize me, like they dont want me to film them up close. I dont know.

You should try to get some video of what your talking about of the outer skin. That would be great. I keep going back in forth though on whether or not that object in the second half is a mylar balloon tumbling in the wind, I just don't know. I'm pretty sure the first object isn't a balloon, it looks like the thing I've filmed many times now.

Great shot pjmenez . The second half of your video show what ive seen above my house 4 times this year(Montana). One of the 4 times i had my binoculars in hand and got a real good look at it. Its sphereical in shape and tend to be golden in color in varying degrees. It had a smaller circle near center. Its outter skin isnt rigid, small sections of this skin moves in and out.Thier flight pattern is similar to that of a ballon but they can do things a ballon could never do. Look to the skies guys!

balloon, you can see the string around :15
