@joeypolanski Frank Thornton had a beautiful voice. It was very stern, very authoritarian; but still very loving.

A funny guy. You made me laugh, Trevor.

RlP Trevor Bannister a fantastic actor who always make me laugh in Are You Being Served ? and Last of the Summer Wine but he was also great in Coronation Street and Steptoe and Son.

Mike Berry who played Mr. Spooner is still alive yet, he and Frank Thorton and Nicholas Smith are the last remenants of this great show.

I find it a big strange and unusual to see that Trevor Bannister is not cheeky and comical like his character in are you being served Mr Lucas, I thought he would be. This just goes to show was an amazing actor he was but its a shame he was more serious than what I thought he was. Daniel Crossley the actor who is like Mr Lucas is cheeky on and off stage and I expected the same with Trevor but in this interview he's not cheeky or comical at all. Very serious but he seems a nice man.

I adored Trevor Bannister and would of loved to of met him. My friend Lisa Peace worked with him on a show a few years ago and said what a great guy he was. He totally reminds me of my favourite actor and dancer Daniel Crossley who played Bert on the UK tour of Mary Poppins, they have the same facial expresions, cheeky smile and lovable personality. When was this interview filmed please? is it recent? x

I can't believe Trevor just died. I had no idea until now. He was the funniest character on Are You Being Served? :( I'm super sad now.
@poppinsexpert This came from some raw footage that we shot during interviews for the recent PBS special BEHIND THE BRITCOM which aired in March 2011 and focused on writers of British comedy. We have hours of footage that never made it into the show so trying to post some every so often.
