when was this filmed? 1993?
-
@Nagneto This is your lucky year then! You've got several Mechwarrior games coming out soon!
-
what Eric said to central guard before he died?
"OMG! UZIEL IS A HAX!"
-
@SuperShadowMage Assault 'mechs are not commonly reserved for guard/protect missions, even if it is a royal palace. They cost a lot to keep and maintain and to keep one at base for months on end collecting dust without any idea if or when you will be attacked is not very cost effective.
Which is why they are fielded and use Light-Heavy 'mechs more commonly as palace guards.

if they are protecting a palace why the hell are they not in assult mechs???
-
@Valkilmer89 it's inner spear civil war. they found his family and executed them after the battle.
-
Now THIS series needs a reboot.
-
One dislike because of the added sound effects when the vulture starts shooting.

@CommandCentre actually, youre still just a touch wrong. Ian's father, pictured in this video, was Duke Eric, not Peter. Peter is Ian's uncle (Eric's brother) who winds up connecting with Ian to help lead a rebellion to retake Kentares IV after the palace fell and Ian's cousin William is installed as a puppet leader for Steiner.

What a piss-poor "palace defense" lance. I mean, really? A Vulture, Shadow Cat, Cougar, and a RAVEN? You'd expect a Davion noble to have better mechs guarding his main estate...
Well, there have been better campy cinematics than this. No, wait. There have never been any cinematics this campy and awesome. Acting? Screw it. Believable effects? Screw 'em. Sweet music and the obligatory "sad Mechwarrior cinematic ending?" FUCK. YES.

sad ending. That pilot at the end was very heroic and courageous. I hope that guy didn't have a family, so they don't have to suffer.
