The turbine doesn't make any electricity. It's an engine. Its rotor is connected to the rotor on a generator and the generator produces the electricity.

  • What's the heat rate?

  • The world’s largest turbine, with an output of 340MW and efficiency of more than 60 % when it goes into operation in 2011.

  • hey siemens come hook that thing in my back yard...I'll get Nicor to make the gas line a little bigger.......

  • you use gas to turn the turbine which makes electricity

  • @justas7463 Yeah, from natural gas, usually.

  • So... i dont get it what is it use for make electricity from gas or what?

  • i tried to get a job at the charlotte, nc site. i have an electrical back ground and expierience in large engine generators(EMD 650 and 710). i took all their stupid tests, you have to have a mechcanical background in blue print reading to get an interview. what a waste of potential great employees.

  • i saw my boss at 0:58

  • i like it it's a big, very big job. but, they only want machinest's.
