  • @Mattichimaru janissaries were taken by the second born to a greek family.making sure they were young....slavery. by force or be killed if you did not convert to islam..... I dislike religion. my blood line is the mediteranian.... you will not understand. Orthodox y we all talk to god. not the pope only

  • @Paul020253 Look up the "occupation of smyrna", go on to the wikipedia page of it and read "first day of occupation". Greeks murdered Turks, Then they cried when Turks took the city back.

Plus, most of those muslims were Greek convert soldiers.

  • I am always open to be persuaded by evidence. In fact I don't make dogmatic ctaements unless I am sure they are right.

  • @Paul020253 yeah thats your propaganda ı suggest look neutral ,,,,,,you can see chrıstıans killed mıllıons of muslıms

  • @humannism I would respectfully suggest you look up the Greek Genocide-there are many videos on youtube about it. Also the Assyrian Genocide and the Armenian Genocide- millions of people killed by Muslims simply for being Christans. That is fact. Holocaust denial is wrong whether it the Jewish Holocausr on the Nazi era or the Christian Holocaust perpetrated by Muslim Turks-a genocide which incidentlly inspired Adolf Hitler

  • @Paul020253 christıans killed muslımsin the years 1918-1923. learn true hıstory then talk

  • As well as reference to Polycarp, whose sacrifice and martyrdom was truly awesome, you could have made reference to the last Archbishop of Smyrna, Chrysostom, who also suffered a martyrs death. That happened in 1923-within the life time of both my parents. You could also have made reference to the Massacre of Christians by the Muslims in the years 1918-1923. This would make this passage even relevant to modern day Christians
