Does brand name clothing make the person?

I have been told the other day that I didn't fit the type of a gay man. But more like a "straight married" man. So, does name brand clothing make the person and helps in meeting people or getting the "Hot" date? I know I should be comfortable in what I wear but when I hear things like that. I often think it "attacking" not just my choice in clothes but me as a person too...

In today's society and in the gay community most people are materialistic. It's all about the clothes you wear, the car you drive and how much money you have. Personaility comes after all of that. It's sad but that's the way it is.

@Sergesedd22 Yeah it seems like it... Just hope that people can see you then what name brand you wear. But oh well if they can't accept me for me. Then too bad and too sad for them. Hope the weekend treating you well.

@jazzman22 You are absolutely right man. It would totally be their lost. But I am glad to see that there are still a few of us who actually can accept people for who they are and can look beyond outside appearance. I hope you enjoy ur weekend dude. :-)
