  • ස්තුතිය් පාලිත !

  • As a movie theater I did not like Metro , but in early 70's they showed a lot of old Sinhala movies for weekday Matinee at 10 AM - only at 10 AM. There was no choice but only way to was to cut school and go.

fortunately I got to movies like

    Saradam, Aiyayi Malliy,

Aiyayi Malliy, is the Sinhala dub of Bhai Bhai (Hindi)

  • Hi Vidhura,

Metro was one of my favourite theatre for sinhala movies being walking distance from our house at Kohuwela. Like you , I must have seen it there when the film was released in 76. There was Lavania for the 2nd release of English movies shown at Liberty etc and we found it cheaper with the little pocket money we had !
