Chris takes the Blue Snowball and compares it against the Rode Podcaster. Two of the top USB microphones in the market, how do they compare? Which is going to take your sound from "low" to "pro"? Watch to find out!

  • IMHO there's _significant_ pop on the Rode..

  • Ya there is some pop, but not too bad considering I am not using a screen of any kind. The same could not be said for the MXL or my PR-40, or the Blue Snowball. For a lot of recording, I'd still get a pop screen.

  • Will it run out of the box with Linux ?

  • Check the end of the video for the update, I cover that. Short is yes, but you gotta do some stuff first.

  • How good would this work with music recording?

  • For vocals I think you'd be really happy.

  • Great review, but podcaster vs blue yeti!

  • How bout the Blue Yeti versus the Rode Podcaster?

  • Crowning the best "USB" microphone is kinda like picking the best white rapper...

  • I know you like the mxl 990, there is a usb version!!!!

  • You have convinced me. I'm going to get this for Christmas and do some work with it. :)

  • again, excellent. very informative. thanks!

  • Chris, I have 2 Question ? I need to use 4 USB mics. 3 hosts and one for a guest. Do i need a USB card OR can i buy a external box with extra USB ports that plug into my PC. Also what happens when more then one person talks. and finally how far apart do i need to place the MICS?

    .

Another Question is how do i stream Sykpe users threw my PC so people can hear them ?

  • LOL MY 40$ light has the exact same stand as your rode mic. But other than that, nice review.

  • @iPowerPlayerTV Probably because the "fucking" price doesn't necessarily dictate the quality. You fucking fuck.
