Taken from the 1991 laserdisc and 1984 HBO broadcast, this is a reconstructed version of the film with all the bad language and trimmed footage intact. You may notice shifts in quality when new footage and audio is added.

Includes a sequence directed by legendary animator Henry Sellick, who also directed "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Coraline", and visual effects by David Fincher.

Anyone remember seeing this one on Mr. Spim's Cartoon Theater?

  • A nice bit of nasty dialog (at least from) from my old ratty off-air VHS is missing at 19:39

  • @vivalapsych @mtwtexas Yeah... this was one bit where I took liberties by using the 'clean' audio because I really preferred the alternate take of the line. TimeWarrior90 used the original line in his cut (Part 2 at 7:39).

  • I saw the original version for the first time through Xfinity on Demand today. That version was closer to the version released on VHS except for Scuzzbopper insulting Botch, the exclamation by Botch after Ratatooie chased a bowling ball, the last few lyrics of "Out on my Own", and Botch bowling after hearing Ralph through Ibor's monitor. Compared to the version uploaded here, which was replaced during the theatrical run, the original is not so rough when it comes to language.

  • Now that takes me back when it aired on both Disney Channel and Cartoon Network.

  • @TheAltair4

Me too, i grew up with the film since i was 6 and had it taped and it's uncut as i have it put on DVD-R for my own viewing, one of my fave animated films too. This needs to be on DVD badly and Warner should do that, same with Hey Good Looking. The guy who did Garfield and the first 2 seasons of Real Ghostbusters was the voice of Ralph and the guy who played the dog on Fluppy dogs is the voice of the baron.

  • One of my all time favorite animated films! A masterpiece!

  • I've been trying to figure out what this movie was for the longest time! I remember watching it on Cartoon Network back in the day and loving it!

  • @XxmcrroxmysoxoffxX Heartbreak Town by Bruce Hornsby.

  • What's the song at the beginning?

  • I'll admit, I watch this for the animation style more than anything else. Cutout styles like this manage to give the fanciful a very realistic undertone that's extremely hard to replicate, and even harder to match, than any digital animation could.

  • Yes you are awesome than you!!!!!
