This used to be a fairly easy event in Spec II, but now it's been made a lot harder. Previously , you'd just need to clock in a 2'00.000 or so lap to pass all cars on the track for a gold. Now though, all the cars are a lot faster and the lead car crosses the line at around 1'57.500. Nothing short of a perfect lap is required here. A few things to keep in mind:
The first corner is especially tricky, as you need to brake while you turn. Do not turn and brake at the same time, or you'll lose all grip. The trick is to turn into the corner easily, and try to brake in as straight a line as possible. Floor it just before the apex to get out of the corner quickly. Pass the first two cars on this corner.
The next hairpin is a crucial ones as it leads down a very long straight. Turn into this corner at a very slow speed and aim for a late apex, so that you can get on the power sooner and have a longer acceleration time down the straight. You must get past the next two cars on this straight.
The hairpin at the end of that straight is even trickier than turn one as you're carrying a lot of speed and it's especially difficult to find the right braking point. Take this corner from a very wide angle, use some of the run-off if you have to, then turn in and aim down the inside exit at full speed to get the most of the short straight that follows.. You should pass the next two cars either on this corner or on the straight following it.
When you get back onto the Speedway, you must start following the cars' slipstream to gain even more speed to pass them. You must get into 3rd place just before the Bus-Stop Chicane at the end of the back straight. Go through the chicane as fast as possible, cut some of the corners if you have to. Exiting the chicane at high-speed is tricky, so you must tap the brake lightly before the exit to transfer grip to the front, so you can safely navigate the exit quickly.
By the time you reach the banked corner at the top you should have passed or be right on the 2nd placed car's tail, and pass it quickly. Now you must sit in the lead car's slipstream for as long as possible to catch it before the finish line.
If you're finding the event too diffcult, just settle for Bronze and open up the S Class events, by medalling in all the A Class events. You will be allowed to tune the F430 here. Lower the Car's weight as much as possible and adjust its power accordingly to make things a little bit easier.

After about 2 weeks of trying and trying I managed to clock a 1.57.021. I jumped up like crazy!
Btw, for people who are having a hard time hitting a perfect lap there is a workaround. Try going in real fast on the first turn itself and use the pit lane like road on the left on the turn. You'll go hit it and the car turns. If you manage to come out of that crash at upwards of 90km/h, you're well ahead of the game. Plus for the last turn, stay left, you'll save a few milliseconds.
