Deek the Juice converted from 15 year old tape to digital. The Deeks were a North-East club band for many years up until 2000.With many friends and followers it was felt that a recording should happen,hence the tape.Although the former members have moved on,the sound and diversity still remains.The line-up for these songs were;
Johnna Johnston-Lead vocals and bass guitar
Pete Carr-Backing vocals,lead/rhythm guitar and saxophone
John Flanagan-Backing vocals,lead/rhythm guitar
Fez-Backing vocals,sampling/sequencing keyboards
Craig Barnes-Drums

On behalf of The Deeks,we hope you enjoy the tracks.

  • I loved this band - really different music selection to the others of that time and an absolute quality vibe as a live act. What a blast from the past!

    Any of them still going?

  • @Superheadless Yeah Johna and Pete are in a band called the Dusty Tools, they`re still playing around the North-East

  • @Superheadless I really loved this band. The guys were so fantastic and as friends,it was awesome.I do profess to not remembering most gigs as we were really drunk at the time...but what a life it was man xx

  • Very classic sound. You must be proud to of been a part of such a great sounding band. I'll leave this running whilst I scan Ebay for bargains. I wish I knew some musicians. All the peeps I know are DJ's & use Software. I've always wanted to make LIVE music. You're a great guy Fez. Stay cool.

Best regards Terry a genuine subscriber & YT friend. :)

  • @funkb0x cheers Terry.I was with the band for 4.5 years, left, then returned for the final 7 months. We had some great times, laughs and played some cool tunes. The tape really didnt do us justice, but digital was really expensive back then..I only have this and a vhs video to remember it by.cheers, keep the cool stuff coming!!!

  • @fezufo Hey Fez dude...I remember the last ever gig at the Rainton Meadows Arena in Houghton...it's a shame the Deeks called it a day... :( Nevermind, the Tools are a great band, too...Johnna, Pete, Bobby and Cliffy...GREAT bunch of lads!! :) Davey (ex-GlumMum)

  • @fezufo Digtal isn't expensive now. :)

Perhaps you should form a reunion. This is classic music.

I think this would go down a storm today.

I totally hear you on not having many memories saved from the past.

We were far too busy enjoying real life. YAY!!!

  • Great memories, thanks
