You're right, American capitalism much like everywhere else, has been very much bogus.
You are a libertarian communist, yet you do not blame capitalism "so much"?
Then you cannot be a libertarian communist. Capitalism is a fundamental wrong, whether people under it are greedy or they are altruistic. There is a hierarchical pyramid and that can only result in poverty for those on the bottom tier.

Sorry, there hasn't been true capitalism in the United States in nearly a century.
I consider myself a libertarian communist, but I do not lay the blame so much on capitalism as on greed and lack of responsibility.
Greed from the highest to the lowest. Our executives are greedy. Likewise we have millions who are greedy on welfare living on the dole but some how having cable TV, Xbox 360s, flat screen HDTVs, you name it.
Lack of responsibility is a significant problem in our culture.
