Factcheck is not some sort of legal authority. There is also a serious conflict of interest issue here: Obama was founding chair of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (the Annenberg Foundation funds FactCheck).

Obama's team has expended an absurd amount of money (nearly a million dollars) fighting the release if his birth documentation. The newsmedia in the U.S.--which contributed tens of millions to the Obama campaign--simply dismisses any questions regarding Obama's Birth Certificate as 'crazy'.

In Hawaii, in the 60's, a COLB was legal to register for a foreign birth. Obama's parents did not fit the requirements to have a US citizen born abroad. However, if there is a confirmed BC, by an independent source, then lets drop it. Hopefully, when Obama starts really screwing things up we have some "just the facts" about it instead of the usual media cover up

Why do you waste our time pointing out silly emails you've received?

Why do you waste our time by telling us he has furnished documentation that proves he is a U.S. citizen?

Citizenship is not the issue. NATURAL BORN status us the issue. Again, here is the million dollar question:

WHERE did his mother honor his unalienable right, endowed upon him by his Creator, to come out of her womb alive?

The only document that can give us this information is his ORIGINAL birth certificate.

There are numerous other Obama eligibility lawsuits than just the 2 you mentioned. The issue of Obamas eligibility has never gone to trial due to the excuse that no one has the right to sue because he is ineligible.

The Hawaii director also did not say what was on file would make him eligible.

Pleaese present all the facts.

Mixed emotions about seeing the Obama-citizenship thing come up. Among the first of many such obvious lies to surface - almost solely on the internet - before and during the campaign, it was the first I saw definitively addressed by the Obama campaign website, and NEVER brought up by the McCain campaign or its website. Yet, as recently as yesterday, have seen it re-re-surface again on the YouTube channels of self-styled political activideoists... as if it were a new bit of information. Ugh.

no! as a obama voter/supporter i just want to see the original birth certificate. this simple document has you all doing everything except showing his birth certificate and not his certification live birth. i'm upset that i voted for him, he promised transparency...
