The Green Anole

When we film our GeoSnippits Geocaching Tutorial Videos we see a lot of local wild life. This little Green Anole which is a small lizard decided to come out to sun itself nearby. The wood it was sitting on was nice and warm and the little guy almost fell asleep. You can watch it's eyes and almost imagine what it must be thinking. So sit back and enjoy two minutes of a little nature show.

Was that little green thing missing a left hind leg?

Nope it was completely okay after it "woke up". Took off across the deck and I watched it from time to time the rest of the day. :)

Female. I think it's sick. There's a difference between healthy cryptic and sick lethargic. I hope it caught some rays.

It may have been sick. Couldn't tell but after it's sunbathing it moved around the deck quick enough...

If it was a bit on the cool side out, that would explain why it was slow and a darker color. They lighten up and speed up after sunbathing.

That anole looks in terrible shape! Poor thing, I wonder what's wrong with her. Looks very sickly.

that anole is defenitly sick. its left lower leg is broken because the anole was dragging it and his skin color is a very dark green, meaning he is very unhealthy. bright green means it is healthy. poor little guy

Ok, I see the leg now, when he runs away there at the last. It had it stretched out back by its tail and it was blended in and I couldn't see.

He/she (?) is really beautiful!It looks really relaxed and not at all bothered that you're nearby :)
