I hatch ducklings all year round, they are Aylesbury ducks, bred for egg laying and for the table. they are free range on the farm. Once hatched the ducklings will rest for an hour or so as it is exhausted from all the hard work. I only want female ducks for egg laying and sell the males, the males make better pets if you have neighbours as they don't make a lot of noise.. I have been lucky enough to sell my excess male ducks as pets so far!! They live on a Free Range Egg Farm and all the Hens and ducks are treated with kindness, pls do not put comments on my videos with your personal views about eating meat. As I do not come on here all the time, any comments that are put on here to cause any upset to anyone whether Vegetarian or meat eater will be removed, This video is purely for the beauty of mother nature. thanks to everone who views this and your nice comments..Sue

  • how come it looks all bloody and it loooks like it's hurt? is that normal?

  • @sfsc16 yes it is no different from a woman giving birth, all beings are covered with something during birth! it is not hurt, it is exhausted from the hard work of getting out of the shell as it takes a few hours to do so, thanks for viewing

  • do you clean them when there born or do they dry themselves?

  • @yosesaurs thanks for viewing, no they just dry off naturally

  • what do you feed the ducklings when they are born?

  • @yosesaurs They are not fed straight away, I feed them the day after they are born and gave them chick mash

Hi, i have alot of questions...

do the ducklings learn from the older ducks, if so is it necessary to have one?

what do you feed them as they grow?

should i ever "Help" the duckling come out of the egg (when it has started hatching of course)
