Okay, i came up with this idea when i was home from school sick. It uses toggle switches to control the power state of the devices: steady on--off--sound reactive. It uses a tip120 transistor to power up to 8Amps of sound controlled lights (SEVERAL THOUSAND LEDS!!!). I am going to finish this on, then i am going to buy a bunch of parts from the electronic goldmine company to make from 5-10 of them. Let me know if you want one because i am thinking of selling them for like $15-25 but i don't know yet. Can you guys just let me know if you saw this online, would you buy it? if enough people say yes then i will put these on my website. I also have a modded Fan in another video, it basically has an extra wire coming from it that goes to my controller and lets me control the LEDs. This is a 6 channel zone controller because it will have six separate circuits when it is complete. You could also get this to work in a console. It connects to my power supply using a Molex connector and it connects straight to my sound card so there is no noticeable delay, unlike some other retail ones that have a microphone that "listens" for the music. I am actually thinking about producing quite a few of these and selling a bunch of modded fans so this will work out of the box. I am thinking if i sell them they will all come with a molex connected cemented to the PCB (that doesn't look like crap, like mine lol), and a ribbon cable connecting all the toggle switches and Lights to the main board, along with unique connects to connect modded fans, and molex connectors (male) to plug in other lights to the controller. It will also have an adjustable knob to control the intensity of the sound reactive lights (adjustable audio amp). I just have more research to do before i start selling them. I appreciate any comments, suggestions, or questions. Please subscribe to my videos!!!

Stay tuned for a video on how to mod LED fans to control the fans (turn them on/off) while keeping the actual fan running separate.

  • i would buy it deff for 15 i really would but how many leds does it come with and would it fit in the ps3 is the question? i would deff buy it though

  • it doesn't come with any LEDs it would basically control all lights that plug in via molex. and it would control special modded fans.

  • If anyone wants a diagram/schematic you can find one on my website!!!

  • hy, I did I sound insensitive, but when I powered, LEDs glows increasingly less. Can you tell me what to do? thanks

  • You said tip120, up to 8 amp, several thousand leds?

    But not in serial right?

    Cause power suppling is 12v?

  • @tbfateless you can use an lm386 audio amp (needs some caps) an electret mic, couple resistors and a lm3915 and of course leds. you could potentially use a pot to control the offset(make it more reactive)

  • A++++ Great thinking, awesome presentation. Keep up good work, it ends up resulting in a much greater yield in life. I'm impressed. I hope I see more from you in the upcoming years.

  • hey will you a video like this but with EL wire?
