after effects is only for THAT. EFFECTS. it doesn't play the sound. it's not a MOVIE editing software. ANd it plays in slowmotion FIRST cuz it needs to render everything you've done, then it'll play normal. Hope i helped.

Are you fucking serious? What program is this, BubbaTKE? No. No answer for you. Side note... avoid the default setting (color)... ditch the outer glow a bit, and add another lightning layer underneath and change it's blending mode to give the effect of it giving off light. That really sells the effect. Well done though.

hey, im having some problems actually stopping the lightning at a certain frame, how do you make it stop at the end?

the simplest way is to just drag the start and end points off screen and put them really close together so they don't accidentally flicker into the video
