Moon River is a song composed by Johnny Mercer (lyrics) and Henry Mancini (music) in 1961.
It was made specially famous when sung by Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) in the 1961 movie Breakfast at Tiffany's - it received the academy award for best song that year.
Other singers also sung this song, most remarkably: Andy Williams and Frank Sinatra, although the Henry Mancini and choir version is superior in my opinion.
Tonight I decided to record it myself in my little 8.1 MP sony T100 camera. the video quality is far from perfect, and my voice is awful, so is my singing technique - sorry! but this is my first time recording and singing: therefore i hope to improve! to help enjoy the song, i paste the lyrics here below.
enjoy!
Moon River,
wider than a mile
I'm crossing you in style; some day.
Old dream maker, You heartbreaker
Wherever you're going
I'm going your way
Two drifters off to see the world
There's such a lot of world to see
We're after the same rainbow's end
Waitin' round the bend
My Huckleberry friend
Moon River and me.
