  • is that off a cv2000 tape?

  • Yes it is.

  • Well, the sound quality is quite good, I can hardly believe it's real. It's not even ceilidh music!!

  • I can assure you, it's original!

  • Nice. Was there any more, or did it cut off there?

  • This was all there was on the tape. It was interrupting a music show. Someone accidently recorded it.

  • @thx1138X Cole Porter was the composer of 'From his Moment On'. Well discerned, I would never have guessed what it was from the arrangement.

  • Lovely music!

  • The test card music is from a song called 'From this Moment On' , dont remember the composer. hope this helps a bit.

This was a fairly regular Occurance on RTE when there was an Unscheduled break in Transmission. WE usually laughed, that some clumsy person had tripped over a wire and they were frantically running about the studio trying to find the correct socket that it came out of. Sometimes it could be off for as long as 20 Mins. It was really frustrating if service was restored and then lost again; Then someone was having a really bad day

  • I Can remember this:- It was like shopping centre music. A clock face would then be shown on a dark backgroung about 30 Minutes before the Station opened. It took ages watching it as a Kid.

  • Ireland RTE is the second country to have music on testcard after Poland's TP! After that was the Thailand's TV2 I think.

  • @Remembervhs They plays Irish oldies. But this is NOT the broadcast music but it's oldies contribute in 40's or 50's

  • I would be delighted sir. Thank you. Such a positive sound, what?

  • well they are some coptyright free music online that sounds like that i dont have a link right now but i can look it up for you if you want
