I have 99 Disco II, and they still have locking diffs, its just that you dont have it inside anymore, you can still lock the diffs from underneith, they say its just for service personel but thats horse shit!!!..lol I lock my diffs all the time when going to the off road park.

@TheAffiliatesAgenda Yeah, same deal with 2000's. I've actually added the linkage and shifter to my truck so I can engage it from the inside. If I would have had the ability to that that here in this vid, I dont think it would have taken two tries IMO. Experience would have helped too. haha

Only thing stopping both those vehicles going through first time was tyres. Even some decent All-Terrains would have got them through there I reckon. The Land Rover gets my vote though. But I'm biased because I'm a definite Land Rover fan :)

Both had A/t tires, but the mixture of clay mud and inexperience is what did us in! (But mostly inexperience.) ;)
Thanks for watching.

@camdisco24 its simple as the wheels begin to loose traction power is automatically placed to those wheels, in order to compensate keep steady throttle pressure and as the wheels loose traction lift off the throttle a bit to allow the wheels to regain traction...the more power you put to the wheels that don't have traction the deeper you'll dig yourself in...also make sure your center differential is locked that will help alot

@crichichi Right! This was our 2nd time off road so we had no experience. This was 2 1/2 years ago. At that point my Disco didn't have locking diff. But it does now! World of difference!
