I think God's Spirit moves in mysterious ways. Maybe Dylan did not consciously wrote this song about Christ (or maybe he did), but we can clearly hear God speaking to us believers. Every line applies to God's way of professing His love for us. "I'd go hungry I'd go black and blue, I'd go crawling down the avenue..." makes me picture Jesus on His way to the cross. Christ indeed has gone to the "ends of the earth for you" to bring you His message of love. Thanks be to God for HIs wonderful ways!

@m5LBJA This is not a Garth Brooks song, he only recorded it. It was written by Bob Dylan and first recorded by Billy Joel in 1997. Brooks' version was released the next year.
