@amy2x He is elderly, disabled mentally, alcoholic, but I do get annoyed with him because he is a writer and researcher and is quite pleasant to deal with most times -- we published together for years. He is this macho two fisted Texas guy. His daughter reproduced and the kids all seem messed up, too. It is very sad. He is caring for his 90-some year old mother who is this matriarch domina. I told the daughter to drug her and the daugher was shocked but the old lady is abusive to one & all.

@CuteCatFaith Faith that there is a witness, and that one day all our deeds will be laid bare could do wonders for the secret plans of our leaders. Even that can't save us from the narcissistic psychopath with the comfort of an imagined excuse though, which is what we have in abundance in Washington these days. Not that they haven't been around for quite awhile. They seem bolder now though, as if they knew something.

@o0lBobl0o I did a paper in grad school about human dishonesty. Most people WILL do dishonest things if they have the opportunity and some reasonable probability that they can get away with it. Personally, I need the Ten Commandments to keep myself in line. Also, to be mindful of the nine deadly sins (or seven, the condensed version). It was really nice to be away from it all for the past week, with nature and peaceful, pleasant people. Amen!

@CuteCatFaith I see it as confirmation that we are in the last days. I think anyone in power is the enemy. Anyone who isn't in the club is demonized, as racist or un-American. I think there is a civil war coming. I think the Christian right is going to be the next big target of the "Arab spring". The UN will be called in to stop the violence, and Christians will be blamed.
