*** UPDATE ***
A lot of people have made comments that I should have tucked in. I actually did try this in footage that (now regrettably) I didn't include. The reason I didn't include it is because I still wasn't able to get much past where I was topping out at even tucked in.
--- --- ---

Due to several requests from my subscribers wanting me to die :D - I decided to find out what the top speed of my 2010 Ninja 250 is.

With the help of Mr.Shakie and my police scanner looking out for cops, we took off towards a long stretch of road I felt safe enough attempting this on.

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy it! Don't say I never listen to requests!

  • do you think that the ninja is a comfortable bike?

  • @tjohalloran1994 I could ride it for about 50 miles. After that I would want to stand up for about 10 minutes.

  • I own an '06 Ninja 250. With saddle bags, tank bag, and full gear on, I'm able to top out @ 115mph before pushing the redline.

  • @PublicWifi Sorry to burst your bubble... but the pre-new-gen ninja250's (prior to 08) had several issues with their speedometers. If you google "ninja 250 speedometer error percentage" you can find a calculator to find out how fast you were actually going. More than likely you were topping out right about where I was too. Sorry mate.

  • @iamramekin There's a variance of up to 10%. I've done a few exhaust mods, nothing fancy, along with rejetting. Also, the gen1's are faster then gen2's.

  • @PublicWifi Yea, I've heard that argument several times and have never found it to be the case. Had a friend with an old school ninja who claimed his was faster on the low end, but the new ones were faster on the top end. I beat him on both sides of the spectrum with my 2010.

  • @Bakeeeeee $0 - I treat motorcycles as toys. If I can't afford to buy it, I can't afford the toy.

  • Tucking in makes quite a difference.

  • @2011rko zx6r man 09-12 youll love it

  • did it feel fast?

  • bunch a pussies! lol jp.

  • @2011rko The 250r is an awesome beginner's bike, it's what I'm riding now and it's a lot of fun, plenty of power for a beginner and it handles like a dream. Personally, I'm planning on going with a 650r next. The zx6r is a supersport, has much more power than the 650r, and isn't really a beginners bike. I'm planning on going 250r>650r>zx6r

  • Hey Ramekin, I've been watching your videos for a while now. First off, great videos, man! Got a quick question for ya! What are the gear requirements to enroll in the MSF Course? Is it full gear; Helmet, Gloves, Boots, Jacket, and Pants? Or just helmet gloves and jacket?
