hello. there. I am currently using iphone 3g 2.2.1 here in japan with softbank carrier, how am going to jailbreak it with no loss of network?it was locked by softbank carrier..do i have to downgrade first?thanks

Hi, When you jailbreak the iphone it will not erase your settings. That only happens when you downgrade the firmware. You do not need to downgrade to jailbreak it.

what if u dont have an at&t sim card will this not work cause i cant activate the phone with this sim card i have (T-Moblie). is there any other way?

The download information does not work, I have not been able to download Quickpwn for windows after clicking your link. I think the host (google?) is saying access is denied.. could you please provide a new link to the required download (otherwise your video isn't valid anymore without the needed download..)

what a dumb thing to do, best lowest firmware is 2.2.1 the most fastest and stable. I have a 3G fw3.0, fw3.0 and higher aren't great on 3G the memory problem that exists on all ipods touches/3G 2G are made worse...and the iphones overheat

also not all the apps close instantly, they lag before they do. I say only go down if you have 3.0 and lower

if you have 3Gs (which i do to) THEN fw3.0 and higher is ok as the cpu and ram is better

I want to downgrade my iPod touch 2.2.1 to 1.0. Because on 2.2.1 you cant UP-Grade. So you have to downgrade THEN upgrade.

hey, im kinda confused but when i download the firmware, it turns into a folder and when i go on itunes and press shift+click on restore, the firmware doesnt notice it on itunes, what am i doing wrong?
