It's so sad when you think of all the diseases rats are known to carry. Rats aren't the problem, poor city management is.

The biggest problem besides the garbage is their ability to reproduce.Rats can multiply at a geometric rate,and with no natural predators to stop them,there's no limits.Either developing some kind of virus that acts as a spermicide or dropping a few thousands cats,snakes and hawks into NY would be it's only chance.

@NeoAlucardX Yeah but rats attacking people arent exactly the most common things to occur especially that there are numerous amounts of rats in New York city where I live. You would probably get hit by lightning then getting attacked by a rat. Rats normally only attack under heat or if they are hungry, who would go outside and feed dirty rats? They probably attacked that child because they dont get food. If you were starving and you saw something that looked like food wouldnt you eat it I would

Look up cases where rats will bite sleeping children and careless people.
Also, don't forget to look up the child in Louisiana died from over 100 rat bites.
