I've spent the better part of my night learning this song. So far Im about 50 seconds into it. If I could play it as well one day (or even just close to as well) as he did. i shall be very happy with myself.

I don't like his high tempo

How would Mozart have played it? Anyone got a time machine?

meraviglioso

Agreed, I'm also partial to hearing the last bit, 4:34, played out slower and more emotional to contrast with the earlier appearances of this theme, then built to an allegro, dramatic climax.

Beautifully done runs - not overemphasized as in other performances I've heard of this tune, one of my favorites.

Nice to hear a quicker version than Gould's performance. I thought that maybe the strange dramatic parts at like 0:50, and 2:59 would sound better when played faster than Gould's performance but this version omits the painful suspense that playing that part slow does. But I like how the rest of the piece is quicker and less boring. Good performance but the killer part of the piece is missing for me.
If the recording date is right (and I'm sure it is) he was almost 88 years old at the time of the recording!! ...deepest respect...!

This is refreshing after hearing lots of slow versions
