@josunjosun that's exactly what i said that you should not have said.. you have already 100 in the pot so you'll lose 200 4 times => 300 lost
-
1 time you wcall $100 and you win $500, 4 times you will lose and lose $400 total.
-
so, your pot odds are 400 to 100.. you need 20% to win, you have 20%... in the pot is already, lets say 100 of your stack. You play that game 5 times. 1 time, you win the pot and you'll win 500. 4 times, you'll lose and you'll lose the 200. so you'll lose 800 and you'll win 500 => you lose 300! plz correct me where i'm wrong cause i know i'm wrong but i don't know where
if you say: i win 500 1 time and lose 100 4 times so i win, you forget that you already placed a bet cause there is a pot
-
so why do you need to know your odds (e.g 4:1) since your basing your calling or folding desicion on the % you need to win by your call and what it represents in the pot ?

@wanga0118 ... there also other 2 types: those who are observant and those who are not ...
... now were was i ??? ...
-
@MrTBSC he was joking there, he was the type that cant count by saying "3"...
-
@tubemoood ... and who is the 3rd type?
-
@wordsofwisdom2009 Doyle Brunson won when only like 200 people played in it. The wsop didnt take off until moneymaker won. And neither brunson nor hellmuth made the money this year. Also hellmuth has won the main even only one time,he has 11 other bracelets from other events,he has 12 total bracelets. To get through 7300 people you need luck on your side.
there are 3 types of player those that can count and those that cant.

....I spent like 2 days trying to understand this in The Theory of Poker, and it took about 5 minutes here.
