  • This video should be called, "1,000 things I can do with my left hand that you can't!"

  • "buddy rich" came closer than anyone past or present to mastering the instrument.period. what ever musical style you play as a drummer: rock, funk,r&b,fushion, any of it , you as a drummer can learn more about tech, speed, control, feel and power from this monster of a drummer than from any other drummer.. to all dedicated drummers out there buddy is a true force of ideas and inspiration. listen..watch..learn..the best to all of you fellow drummers.

  • @atocp does he have any videos uploaded of him slappin da bass?

  • @4against1 Please for the safety of your soul and musical credibility tell me it is just a joke.

  • have you herd of a guy named travis barker??? hes fucking better than buddy ricks

  • This must have been from the late 70's Buddy Rich did'nt play a Fibes snare drum like he does here for very long. The same snare he used during the recording of Rich Live in London. Absolutely the most amazing drummer of all time. To this day nobody can match his speed, style, taste and technique. Simply the Best.

  • A prodigy doesn't learn how to do it, he was born to do it. My God, what talent.

  • @mikezes - or "1,000 things I can do with left hand that you can't with both!"

  • I saw him at the Club Cabaret, Boston MA in1974. It was his small jazz quintet period. I sat about 10 feet from him. It was an incredible experience for a 17 year old wannabe drummer. I wish we had cell phone video then.

  • Check out 3:16, when he starts the "Left Hand Slice And Dice!" Totally fucking awesome! I'm gonna hav'ta start getting that down . . . .should take me a couple of weeks!
