Basically, it takes place in a future where aliens are constantly breaking into schools. 3girls-one from each class- are assigned to combat these beings with the help of a type of alien called a borg. Said borg attaches to their heads and protects/fights alongside the girls. And while this anime seems cute at first, it has a sinister side towards the end. But the manga's better; it tells you more...at least I think so.

@Wacked420 Alien Nine deconstructs this. Yuri is terrified of fighting them, and the adults aren't useless as much as they have other motives. Sinister ones. It's a spiritual sister to Narutaru, and not cute and bubbly at all.
